I’ve got Covid, should I treat it like man flu?

I feel a bit ropey but nothing too serious, it’s probably worse than a cold but not as bad as flu.

Obviously I’m self isolating but what should my mindset be? Do I walk around like a Victorian poet, holding a handkerchief to my forehead and saying “Woe is me”? Or should I insist that nobody understands, retire to my bed and act like I’ve got some horrendous tropical disease?

Moping around the house is just fucking tedious, and to be honest it’s a wasted opportunity too. What should I do?

Do whatever you feel able to do!

I was stuck to the sofa and still feel a bit crappy now two weeks on, I’m desperate to feel completely well again, this in between stage when you want to do stuff but can’t is frustrating! x

Thank you. Can I just double check the date of your medical qualification?

This seems like one stage removed from Trump’s idea of swallowing bleach, but you sound like you know what you’re doing

Read… brush up some knowledge. Craft… cheer yourself up with some random Halloween decoration. Music… listen to some new stuff and see if you can widen your horizons.

Or do what I would do, get stuck for hours in lesbian TikTok

Eat lots of snacks, binge watch things on TV and randomly have naps whenever you like.

If you start feeling rough, take it easy. I didn't really having to look after 3 kids still and it took me 3 months to recover fully!

Get on Amazon and buy yourself a bottle of better you vitamin D spray.

I had it beginning of September was weird.

Didn’t have a cough at all but was sniffly and just felt a bit more tired. 3rd day after my positive test my smell went completely but came back after 5 days. Towards the tail end of it I had moments where I felt a bit spaced out but nothing really bad and then it was gone. Now I’ve had it I’ve built up natural immunity towards it just like any other virus.

Rest and lots of fluids.

Covid tends to either clear up after a week or turn nasty at that point.

Those I know who ended up in hospital or worse said similar to yourself in the early stages of infection so its best not to take any chances imo.

I like the idea of both, victorian and nobody understands you.

Dress up as a painter (Turner will do), long shirt, sleeves rolled up. Throw paint around exclaiming nobody understands me.

If you do this can you record the performance

You should immediately don a crow face plague mask and wander around your house shouting, ‘Unclean!’ whilst waving around a smoking torch.

i was one of those lucky ones that took an 8 day, all-inclusive holiday at camp NHS. Stay hydrated and eat well, paracetamol and a lovely warm soak of your temp allows, a cool one if your to tells you!

-( this "crack on with it" brigade are a bit piss taking, imho.) Just look after yourself and have faith in, a few days time, you wont feel like you do right now. Huge mischievious hugs xxx xxx
