Weekend Away in England

Always liked York but looking to try somewhere new. Ideally with nice hotels, good local bars & restaurants etc. Just a nice chilled weekend away with the wife. Any different suggested destinations welcome

North devon on the exmoor coast little village called Porlock lots of pubs and holiday lets plus the prices aren't bad i'd say it's a cheaper weekend away than York, York is london prices for some strange reason.

I’m biased of course but Cornwall is stunningly beautiful. Not too expensive and a rich history x

Pembrokeshire

Portishead is nice when the weather behaves if you like quiet places.

If you want busy I think Nottingham might be worth considering.
