"I bloody love mine, i chucked a soup mix in mine (random veg chopped up tiny, bought from a farm shop) with two chicken stock cubes dissolved in hot water, garlic, celery, salt and pepper chucked in too with some boneless chicken thighs, stuck it on high for 3 hours, then I made loads of dumplings and chucked them in for the last hour and a half. Get some decent brown bread and proper butter to do some dipping. super hearty food for everyone. " Sounds great. Everyone round yours for stew , lol. I`d add some Lea and Perrins MMMMMM

"Only because stuff stays hard or even when cooked the 'gravy' is still like water. Let me know how you get on with yours. I don't think they're great for veggie/vegan food. " Bean chillis and whatnot - very good in our slow cooker. You have to tailor the liquid amount used to take into account that it's being done in a slow cooker. You need far less liquid than you think. We do veg chilli, veg curry, veg soups, dhal, all sorts in ours

I put them down as a convenience like microwaves.

"Oooooohhhhhh gammon in is amazing too, huge hit in our house. Quite often put a full chicken in too, line the bottom with onion and lemon chunks, stick your chicken in breasts downwards and add whatever herbs you like, garlic and rosemary are my all time faves. Don't even need to add water. Get a bbq pulled pork sachet mix and a pork shoulder in there too. I just shred it, chuck it in a bowl and stick it in the middle of the table with wraps, cheese, chips, guac, salsa and salad, the kids love this one too. " We do the same with pulled pork

"Also look up slow cooker fudge recipes, they are amazingly easy. " Yesterday I made a Lotus Biscoff and White Chocolate fudge in mine. Just sliced it up - delicious. Last week I made a Nutella and Ferrero Rocher cheesecake in the slow cooker. That was great, too!
