Would you like to be referred to as a full Dominic or Dom?

Apparently my parents had Abigail in mind for me (although my Dad was convinced his first born would be a boy so I would have been William) but when I arrived they decided on Carolyn instead...I prefer the name everyone has called me since I was about 9 which is a shortening of my maiden name (hah, using the word maiden to refer to me - virgin on the ridiculous that...)

My family never choose a name until after the baby has been born and then try and fit the name to the baby. Onthe whole it does seem to work.

My middle name means sorrow. Nominative determinism

Apparently I was going to be Joanne while my mum was pregnant.... Then when I was born they changed their mind and decided Diane......

Then my dad went alone to register me, and my name is nothing like either of them lol

Right now, Naomi, ask me again in an hour, or a day or a week and you'd get a totally different answer.

I don't mind my name.

I loathed my name when I was at school but that was because I was the only girl in a big comp with the name and as I could be a bit naughty sometimes and then people would say "l.... Did it", there was no blaming anyone else! As soon as I left school I've loved. I've had so many people say to me over the years though"is that your real name". Durrr, yes! Mind you, nowadays my name seems rather conventional!!xx
