"Need to start locking that lot up. " Exactly. Probably the same tossers all the time so would quickly shut them down

"Just walk up and piss on them. Is that an offence? " Just claim it’s a form of protest ... highlighting the lack of toilets in the middle of motorways or something. Can then claim that you were forced to do this having exhausted all other avenues, then drink a bottle of water and piss on another one

"Just walk up and piss on them. Is that an offence? Yes, assault. But we could just leave them there and let them piss themselves." I like this idea!! Barricade round them and just leave them to unstick themselves.

"Oh my god. Watch the latest video on YouTube the one about them being sprayed with ink. It shows multiple police officers bent down with syringes of solution to dissolve the flow from protesters hands that they have glued to the road, their bare skin. Can see the coppers carefully and gently trying to free their hands. All I can think of is the MONEY and the TIME. Imagine there was some domestic abuse case going on or some serous crime where the police would be needed but instead they’re trying to gently scrape glue off these idiots hands. Personally I’d just rip their hand away. If their skin comes off then that’s their fault for super gluing their hands! " I reckon they are actually Trump following anti climate change types. They are turning people against the cause they claim to be sticking themselves to tarmac for. Making it an annoyance.

"Just walk up and piss on them. Is that an offence? " It would be assault if you pissed directly on them, but there's usually a slope on the road. Pissing slightly uphill from them wouldn't be illegal.

"It’s a noble cause with very poor execution " The main objective is disruption. The same rabble will turn up under a different cause next year

"Put a diversion in place and leave the idiots on there own or start some roadworks around them and pound there ears with noise. As said above causing more harm to the planet than their stupid cause. Rant over." There are pics on the news of a guy playing his bagpipes right in their faces. He was removed by police.

"It’s a noble cause with very poor execution The main objective is disruption. The same rabble will turn up under a different cause next year " Well the objective I’ve seen is to insulate more houses in the uk as a method of being more green I can’t argue with that But the method of getting their message out? That I can argue with

"Meanwhile in the real world, people are dying in ambulances outside hospitals as a direct result of the mismanagement of our country by the current government." If true, this rabble are only making things worse

When they need to eat or drink or piss what's going to happen. Shame we get bogged down in the personal attacks rather than the issue. The irony of flying 25k people round the world in the middle of a pandemic and an apparently global climate disaster caused by air travel to conclude after 2 weeks we need more bullshit electric cars.... If we insulated our housing stock properly would have a much larger impact than anything that cop 26 will arrive at.

They will attach themselves to another cause in due course, they just like causing trouble

"Meanwhile in the real world, people are dying in ambulances outside hospitals as a direct result of the mismanagement of our country by the current government. If true, this rabble are only making things worse " There is no question whether it’s true, it’s a matter of record. Saying ‘this rabble are only making things worse’ makes as much sense as suggesting that adding a teaspoon of water is what causes a river to flood.

"Premature deaths in the capital due to air pollution are about 9,400 and nationally it's about 40,000 pa according to the royal college of Physicians.. So I can see these protesters have a point if we are looking at the issue close to home.. That said I disagree with how they're making their protests.. But not as much as I disagree with some on here who think violence is the answer.. There are people in power at present who want to make all protests unlawful care not if in the future you or I might wish to peacefully protest if the local A&E is moved 20 mile away etc.." They are not protesting about air pollution.

My point being albeit could have simplified it possibly is that we are happy to have the numbers of premature death annually but some want to use violence on people protesting.. Again to reiterate I'm not in agreement with their methods but it's a bigger picture and a problem that has many parts..

"Do these folk not have jobs?" Probably, but seems they care enough about something to protest about it. For everyone moaning about all the things that are wrong.. From face masks to taxes to landlords... Getting off their arse and doing something to protest is doing more than whining on a chat forum.

"I've seen police use absolute force at protests before yet they will stand there and declare they can't do anything for these lot. " They would love that though, images of the police bearing them up. Hence the softly softly approach. I understand the police protecting them, but no need to actively help them
