I work night shifts and even though I’ve recently reduced to just two a week I struggle to sleep. I’d be clock watching waiting for my last break at 2am if I was in work now.

trying writing a letter either as to yourself or to a family member no longer with you.. sometimes putting it all down in writing helps to make you make sense of it x

If any help to anyone, for life/work/head management on 6pm-6am shifts..

I try to sleep in two blocks when I work nightshift, to try make it less of an all-work-and-bed, never ending struggle.

I go straight to bed after finishing and a shower, then try to get up between 12 & 2 ish for food and calls ..maybe a pint sometimes with dinner!

Then I hit the hay again for 2hrs sieasta at half2 ish, and a food shop on the way back in.

I live alone tho, respect to the parents on full time night shift, juggling kids and houses ..Heroes! X

I do, the longer 12 hours are a pain for managing owt else. But the 8-10hr shifts I find easy ..depending on a quiet daytime bed of course
