I think I must be. I've been having a bit of a reflective day and thinking about all the encounters I've had over the years with different people.

Some people blow your mind and make you see actually others weren't even close. Possibly due to a mutual chemistry.

Some people who lead you to believe or have a reputation of being great were actually, well not. I assumed I obviously wasn't for them either (although they seemed happy and wanted to see me again)

From sharing experiences with my friends it often seems that there are a lot of people out there who are having really bad sex but think that they aren't.

So is it that you get to a point in your life where you think you're just the one that's hard to please?

I do agree to a point, and I've had the situation where a partner has thought the sex was amazing when I've found it no more than adequate.

I've had the opposite happen too though, where I've thought there was a real spark and a connection that made the sex sensational, but my partner has no interest in coming back for seconds.

I don't think I'm particularly hard to please, but I do want to both like and fancy the person I'm in bed with, which does narrow my options somewhat. I've met perfectly nice people where there just wasn't that pull, the spark of desire.

I'm not going to just go through the motions when it comes to sex, and I'm not prepared to just settle for adequate. I'd rather have a wank.

I’m hard to get and hard to please - you have to be on my wave length to draw me in. I often find those I’m attracted to can sometimes be arrogant about their dominance, when it’s actually alpha male. And those that claim to be dominant mostly don’t like or can’t cope with confident females.

Yep, I'm similar.

I've been told I'm hard work before but if something is working for me then I'm fully on board, engaged, easy to please. I'm not easily pleased though, I know what I like and it's very rare I find that. I'm not one for flirty conversations with no substance or genuine interest on my part which might seem like I'm difficult.

I agree with you, it happened to me quite a lot were they thought it was mind blowing but I thought it was okay or maybe a bit more than okay

And times where I did have sex with a guy and j thought it was dynamite but for whatever reason they didn’t get the spark … (okay it’s only happened a couple of times but it did kinda hurt!! Especially with one guy who I REALLY fancied and the sex was amazing… like well I enjoyed it a lot)

From a relationship point of view tho I’ve been told that eventually no guy will ever truly satisfy me because they could give me the moon, and apparently I’d want two… quote on quote

Not hard to please but I suppose people would think I am because they can’t deal with my honesty ? They take it to personally and then say “well no pleasing her etc “

I’m not about pretending something is good to save the feelings of others - I know what I like and don’t…. However - it takes a while to get to that position because I can be hard to read / make friends with due to being quite shy….
