Am watching match of the day on TV. If you would of said to me thirty years ago you will have had a glass of wine and be watching match of the day I would of said are you mad. How your live evolves over the years

I was thinking about this the other day - 10 years ago on a Saturday I would be out hammered by now …. I can’t be arsed these days and prefer a night in!

as luck would have it I had some great days in my youth as a matelot in Portsmouth. Joanne's in Southsea a matelots haunt

I used to go out in a Joanna’s when I was 19/20! There was a bloody tree in there do you remember? Yeah matelots loved it there ! I ended up marrying one !

Two years ago I was just 35 days away from splitting up with my partner of 18 years.

Two years on I'm living with a wonderful landlady who's also become a close friend (and no, we're not fucking! Lol, although she does know I swing) and I'm happier than I've been for a long time.

I've learned to try to take each day as it comes, don't plan too far ahead, and take absolutely nothing for granted.

I do remember the tree there was another club we use to go in pompey but age has got the better of me and can't remember the name. Happy days . Incidentally are you still with Jack tar
