They understood the laws of physics well enough to develop aqueducts and better ways to aid water flow. They harnessed water as energy for powering mines and mills. I can only assume the person putting the sign on the grass has done so whilst hovering above the grass. The fire extinguishers sign says do not run but we all know if there's a fire your gonna run.

It is a bad estimate because someone thinks it's a biscuit lol

I feel like these forums debate biscuits/cakes far too much
