Dog found!

We're in a bit of a jam. Just wondered if anyone can advise us. A female border collie has followed our youngest son home. We took her to the police station in Bedwas and they didn't want to know. I have called the RSPCA and they don't pick up strays. I called the local dog warden and they don't pick up after hours. These were both automated msg's. We can't keep this poor dog at home as we have our own dog who's not good with other dogs and an old cat.

We can't just let this beautiful dog roam in case she causes an accident. I am at a loss now as to what to do. We have gone on fb to see if anyone has reported losing a dog but so far nothing.

Any advise would be really helpful please. Thanks.

maybe visit the vets as they might have it microchipped

Your local vet should be able to scan the dog to see if its chipped.

Perhaps contact local vets? They can check for a microchip and may have already been contacted by a distraught owner.

Yes, trying to convince our adult daughter to have her in her room!!! There is no way we could let her go. Especially now its getting colder in the nights. Just hope we can find her owner. Looks like she has been well looked after. Very affectionate to. Thankyou again for all your helpful advice. Will post the outcome.

Try valley vets on Merthyr road in Cardiff they've got an emergency clinic in the evenings and should be able to see if she's chipped

Just an update. A peaceful night was had by all and the lovely dog was reunited with her relieved and happy owners this morning at the vets. Thanks again for all your advice. A very happy ending.
