Ankh Morpork

The Last House on Needless Street

Has anyone read this book? I couldn’t put it down and ended up reading most of the night.

It’s frustrating as I can’t talk to anyone about it as it would spoil the story if they haven’t read it.

I'm reading (or listening to) Shape, the hidden geometry of everything.

Not the best of choices for an audio book as it makes a lot of references to diagrams on the accompanying pdf which isn't much use when I'm driving. Good brain exercise though visualising from descriptions.

Building more/bigger shelves is always the better option than not getting more books. Upgraded mine a few weeks ago.

Sorry not too high brow here, occasional nip in reading a book called Wilding (about re-wilding of a farm in S of England) but it takes a bit of thought so I can't read a lot of it. Also reading the Yachtmaster's handbook and guidance notes and thinking I need to sort out a review at some point. Also waiting for the new Jack Reacher due out at the end of the month.

I finished ‘Apples never fall’, the new one by Liane Moriarty a couple of days ago which was a slow start but I ended up loving it.

Now I’m reading ‘Once there were wolves’ by Charlotte McConaghy, a novel about trying to reintroduce wolves into the Cairngorms to try to help re-wild the highlands, and that’s great so far.

Heroes and Villains, Angela Carter. It is the first book I have read in an age. It wasnt one on my to read pile either I went to the library to get a whole new one. Poor patient books in my to read pile. One day books one day.

Just finished the moon flower murders by Anthony Horowitz which was the last one of his I could find.

I really struggle with switching authors as I hate getting a few hours into a book and not liking it so I tend to listen to everything and author has done before moving onto the next, these are always audio books as I'm a driver.
