For all the stick that Police get these days, sometimes justifiably, and at other times they do a difficult job being "damned if they do and damned if they don't". let's face it, they keep us safe and I couldn't do their job!

They are after all, human beings, but they put themselves out to help others; these two officers paid the ultimate sacrifice and it is such a shame!

Yes armed policemen and capital punishment that's what we need.....to be just like America with one of the highest murder rates in the world.

Yes bring back capital punishment. Obviously it will deter would be murderers as it does in, er, America.

This kind of emotional response is predictable but it does no good at all.

And incidentally I am the son of a retired Metropolitan Police Chief Inspector who is opposed to both the arming of the Police and capital punishment.

Sooner we get a Death Row system in place the better. That remark is not intended to create a debate on that topic, just my own personal belief.

Hopefully he will lead such a misearable existance in jail he will end his own life. I'll sleep happier knowing that my hard earned income tax is not going towards feeding the bastard
