So many good ones mentioned already, adding Silent Witness, Rebus, Between the Lines, The Killing (Scandinavian version, although the US take of it isn’t too shabby) and I can’t not add Hill Street Blues

I’m am laughing though as no one has mentioned Line of Duty.

She character is just different. I don't think they ever cover why. It's similar with a lot of crime solving characters though, their brains work slightly differently.
