I know! I really want a pretty pale sage green one but they cost an insane amount of money. I don’t bake enough to warrant the money.

But definitely shop around, they don’t have to be super expensive!

Buy a vintage second hand.

I have a fabulous 1950s sunbeam mixmaster its far far better than new stuff and payed £29 on ebay for it. It looks so so cool im my kitchen

Decorating and Magnolia ..... never featured until it went on T.V. and everyone thought you have to refurbish everything every year.

My house is like a museum. I'm clean warm and cosy and owe no one anything ......

Keep your fancy kitchens and bathrooms...... mine work ..... and you'd call em retro ...... snort !

I can never fathom this either! More expensive than large appliances.

I am going to give in and buy a pale blue one eventually. I've never seen bake off but it's the last bit I need to recreate my Mrs Maisel kitchen, so just as easily influenced

! I think I've made 2 cakes in my life...but I'm sure that's just because I don't have a pretty mixer.

That’s how I justify it. I don’t bake because I don’t have the mixer. If I had a pretty mixer I would become a 1950s housewife.

I don’t like baking so I’d only use it to do some mean pizza Dough so I can’t justify the price and just get my hands dirty when I want to make homemade pizza

There are cheaper versions, generally noisier and may not last as long or cope with much. I've wanted one for years but I can't justify the price for the amount I'll use it.

I guess I'll be sticking to my electric hand mixer.

I got a great one for just over 100 squids... It has a mincer attachment and a blender aswell as the usual beaters n what not... Think I got it off Amazon... It's red and beautiful and I love it lol

I've started with a cheap one at £77, as I don't bake that much now and I might not get on with it.

It does help a lot but my small amount of baking doesn't warrant paying hundreds of pounds for one.
