I do believe that it exist, love at first sight can be an overwhelming sensation, it is a good match of endorphins between two people, it is an indication of strong physical attraction

Lust yes, love I think can grow from that, but love is more in depth than appreciation of the aesthetic, which is all you can take in on an initial glance.

Nope. It’s lust at first sight. Although you can meet people who are strangers but you may have past life connections with them so you have soul contracts and your energies match but for love, you still need to know them a bit and spent a sufficient amount of time with them.

I'm not sure. Since there are different levels types of love connections it's hard to say.

Does a parent love their child at first sight (majority)? Yes they do, it's kind of hard wired in to them to do so.

Do I think you can romantically love a stranger at first sight? No, I think you can believe that you would be able to love this person. Sometimes that eventually develops in to a deeper love which is goes down as a great love story.

People rarely ever tell the love at first sight but turns out that person is actually an arse so the love faded story.

love is something that grows over time, I honestly can say ive loved 2 men in my life time all grew over time. One being my sons father and p years ago then met up after 28 years and those feeling still there not lust , compfortable, seeing him happy makes me happy and breaks my heart when he is sad or going through problems.

Yes definitely. I saw my ex wife and knew id spend the rest of my life with her and after 10 mins chatting confirmed it . Unfortunately I didn't count on me getting depression a fews ago and losing the plot and her . Hopefully one day I will come to terms with that

We use love to cover all kinds of experiences. The kind of love you have for a friend is also shared with a partner and this requires shared experiences and time taken to know each other.

On the other hand, physical love can develop very fast.

Sacrificial love, the kind where you would give everything and anything for another person can be either. As above, it is felt by parents even before a baby is born. For strangers it is all but non existent. We use the expression "greater love hath no man than that a man should lay down his life..." but while this may well be true in some cases I don't believe that for many who risk their lives to help others they are motivated by a love of that person.

When I talk of loving my partner it is a mix of all these things, parts were there from the first time we met, others have taken far longer to develop.

I guess it all depends how you define love.

What a refreshing change to hear so many agree with my sentiments. Forget lurve at first sight, lust is the foundation stone on which every successful relationship is built on. Every well grounded person knows that fantastic sex is the glue that binds a successful relationship together, without that, you are pissing in the wind, which is why I tell every emotional high dependent that I have the misfortune to meet when they come out with, "I lurve you Dave," They get told straight that I can't afford lurve, as it can be twice the expense for half the fun, but lust, that's a different commodity all together, and comes well within budgets. It goes down like a lead balloon, but then tact and diplomacy were not my strongest subject's in school.

Real love is much more deeper and complex than that for sure - still it’s not to say the physical attraction from first sight couldn’t lead to “pure love” over time. We can but dream of meeting that soulmate someday in our life if lucky...

I do.. I've had it happen to me twice.. since before I was old enough to even know what it was... and then with someone else. Still live them both but differently. It's most disturbing and unsettling at times.
