Night out in the Manchester area

Anyone around the Manchester area where's the best place to go for a night out? I went to Worsley a couple of weeks ago and it was quiet I went to Eccles it was quiet westhoughton last night was quite busy but it is there any other places around in Manchester that are the best spot to go
