As they were before they died in their normal capacity. So before they were changed by any illnesses. Probs won’t remember but ideally they have a sense of peace at returning home.

There's a bit on Ancestry dot com that let's you reanimate photos - it's quite fun but also emotional if you do someone who has passed away.
