Back in the 90’s me and my friend were walking home from school after just getting off the bus and we went round the corner of some houses where there was a patch of grass between the two streets and there was a bull. A real live huge black bull, it saw us put its head down and started doing that a tape thing with its foot then started to run towards us. We shit ourselves. This was in a residential street. We ran back up the street, heard this almighty crash where the bull had charged at a parked car then we heard all the men shouting (farmers who were trying to catch the bull that had escaped from their field). My friend and I mounted this wall on someone’s garden and were screaming so this woman let us in her house. We were all watching from an upstairs window this bull running round all the streets till it got lassoed!

Horse bites are something to be desired! And being flung from a horse is an interesting way to break bones

Swans. I view them with great suspicion anyway because they look a bit dicey in a cute fluffy way, but yeah, seeing a group of them following you around the shoreline of a lake, waddling with great determination to rip your arm off, makes me nervous.

Horse flies seem to like me for some reason, which is a bugger because I react to their bites. Not life threatening but pretty uncomfortable.

However, the funniest was a Reeves pheasant. Driving down a country road this thing was stood in the way so I got out to shoo it off the road. A car coming the other way stopped and the driver said 'I wouldn't, it's really vicious!'

Yeah, right, but as we were talking this pheasant went round her car and began flinging itself at the passenger window where her young son was sitting. Fortunately it was closed and she drove off, this crazy bird still attacking her car. I got back in and drove off laughing, only to see this crazy bird now chasing my car. It was comical, seeing this thing in my door mirror as it chased me, whilst I'm trying to get the window up! Damn thing must have chased me for 100m or so!

I am very much an Animal Person, so the only time I've ever been chased was when an idiot friend of mine broke into a run while we were crossing a field of cows and the whole herd came after us. I've never gone over a gate so fast before or since.

Still, he's dead now and I'm not, so I win.

Scariest a pack of wild dogs in Iraq,

Funniest a badger that chased me and five tiger army guys after we saw it walking with two young kits and we got to close looking. It growled at us and chased us off
