if you can? I'm feeling Downton Abbey should be on my watch list but I haven't watched the first 2 series...a quick precis would be appreciated so I can converse with my workmates who never fecking well shut up about it...

If you can be arsed, IMDB has episode guides, they seem short enough to scan through.

I've not watched it meself so can't be of much help otherwise
