New Street station has a Pho if you like Vietnamese food.

There is a forbidden planet about 10 minutes walk from the train station

Other than that all we do is go to Xtasia and the Facility

There's a science museum if you like pressing buttons.

It has a thermal camera so you can laugh at how warm/cold your crotch is

We did look but thought it was more for the kids than adults

and all the other museums seem to be closed.

Head down in Digbeth in the evening and eat at the Digbeth dining club. They also have indoor golf around there though normal booked up for months. Not sure if the Bansky is still there but I would imagine it is.

Day time shopping - bullring, new street station, Mail box a little.

Other places to eat - mailbox, new street station.

Just avoid Broad Street in the evening.

Next to the Hippodrome (I think).

It is a guided tour of original back to back houses, coal fires are lit, candles on and everything is as it would have been through several decades and the guides really bring the place to life.

I’d second all those, also check out Millenium Point online to see if there’s anything there to interest you.

Whereabouts are you staying; centre or further out? What sort of thing are you looking for?

There are canal tours available starting from the city centre, with Gas Street Basin giving a little glimpse into the past. There a Nature Centre in Edgbaston, but you’re best off booking in advance online for that.

Shopping places….Grand Central and The Mailbox are worth a stroll, also check out The Great Western Arcade by Colmore Row.

Definitely recommend Digbeth if you like hipster bars and street art. Custard factory has a board game cafe (Chance and Counters) and an arcade bar (NQ64) in it. You can then walk around the area to "discover" bars and art and stuff. A nice place to stroll around, at any time of day.

Digbeth Dining Club has relocated to Hockley (jewellery quarter I think) but that’s cool street food & cocktail vibes.

The Jam House in St Paul’s square is a live music club and great and there is a fantastic Italian in St Paul’s square called Pasta di Piazza.

The Library has great views.

The Mailbox has some nice bars & restaurants plus I think you can do a tour of the BBC studios inside the Mailbox.

The Nightingale is a great gay club if you fancy that fun vibe..

Avoid Broad Street full of d*unk students.

Bullring shopping maybe take the Mrs into primark its hugeee ermm gay quarter or museum that's free as well or walk along the canal or sea life centre as long as we don't bump as a brummy I would suggest go elsewhere it's shite here haha

Shopping:

Bullring (mass market stuff, and a few expensive boutiques) - nothing you won’t find in any other major quality shopping centre.

Mailbox (ditto, but smaller, and more expensive). Better area for choice of eateries than bullring i think.

Western Arcade (quirky little independent shops) and has a great sushi place

Eating and bars -

Food court at Harvey Nicks has some good light choices for something quick.

Aforementioned sushi place (think it is called Passion) is worth a puny if you like that.

If you like your meat cooked then Rodizio Rico have a good selection.

Brindley Place and the canal walks have plenty if choice of bars along the way.

Culture - there’s a big museum /art gallery and the Think-tank is interesting. Hippodrome might have some good shows on worth a check. The NIA is also there.

Hotels - Malmaison, Radisson and Hotel Du Vin are all convenient and nice.

I’m sure is plenty to entertain and in all seriousness it has plenty to offer and is on the up. Enjoy.

Digbeth is arty and cool any time of the day, stuff like axe throwing, crazy golf, batting cages too along with some cool bars.

Shopping is decent in the centre.

Good pho in grand Central.

Mailbox has good eateries and bars.

Good burgers at original patty men, and the meat shack.

Museum is a good walk around.

Depending when you're coming German market is love hate, it's good for a bit, I prefer it in the day when it's less busy.

I'd stay away from broad st. Apart from the canal walk from the mailbox to broad st, that's nice.

Gay village can be fun.

Jewellery quarter has some decent bars.

If you're in the car, nipping out to the new designer outlet McArthur glen is good.

K looks like she might enjoy a rock bar, decent rock bars in scruffys and subside.

Completely forgot about BBB!

Also: do the Cadbury's factory. You get to play with chocolate, and then there's a great cafe (Kafenion) on the green where you can get a tasty lunch and some decent coffee.

Talking of coffee, Quarter Horse is a great roasters and coffee shop with some excellent food too. Just a 5 minute walk from the centre. In the centre (Piccadilly Arcade) is an excellent coffee shop (Faculty) with good food right outside New Street station. Both have lovely cakes/cookies/etc.

Round the corner from that is Tiger Bites Pig, a tiny little bao place that's to die for. Or if bread is your jam then Medicine bakery has good coffee but a range of excellent baked goods.

There's also the Balti Triangle - Brum is great for food
