Blue Fin Tuna are returning to UK waters and scientists believe that rising sea temperatures are a factor. Tom thinks that this is a good thing. But what other species may come along with it? There are credible reports of Great White Sharks in the Bay of Biscay and the Med. Are they lurking in our waters ..

Blue fin tuna have always been in British waters but they have moved away for a few years. If you go to ireland and get a boat that can go about 100 miles south west they catch them up to over 500 pounds

Good news…apart from the indigenous species that might die off due to the temperature increases. The US has seen mass shellfish die-offs due to rising temperatures.

Then they'd eat all the littler fishes off our shores. Most people don't realise how big and what hunting machines they are themselves. Just that they come in a little silver tins and taste yummy.

Somerset times april this year.

A massive 17-foot-long Great White shark could be heading towards the UK coast say scientists tracking her movements.

Experts are keeping a close on the huge shark which has made a detour from the American and Canadian coast where she normally swims and is now heading towards the waters of the Med and the UK.

Tracking devices show that the 253-stone shark called Nukumi has now crossed the half way mark and is now nearer Britain than America.

They keeping a close eye on Nukumi who so big she is the largest white shark tagged in the Northwest Atlantic by science organisation OCEARCH to date.

Great whites aren't a threat to us. They don't eat humans. Very occasionally one might accidentally bite someone in confusion, but it is so rare. You're at far far greater risk of drowning in the water than being hurt by a shark.

Scare mongering is what is putting these animals at risk of extinction, because it prevents anyone caring that their numbers are plummeting.

Humans are hurting sharks more than they have ever hurt us. We should be ashamed.

There has been reports of people in the past "spotting" great whites in UK waters but probably just a larger Porbeagle which are native... the warmer the waters the less diversity we will probably see

arent british sea water's at the best they've been for years dues to the reserved areas ? hence the french and others getting pissy cayse the catch is so m,uch better ... id like to see more coast water protected ... as for sharks people dont realize just how important they are for the seas...

They have tried to stop us anchoring in areas on the south coast to protect the seahorses that supposedly anchoring affect…. Then if it is anchoring why the hell when I gutted two large sea bass this summer did they each have 4-5 sea horses inside them

Don’t think it’s the anchoring it’s the BASS!!!!
