Blocking someone after this

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

Up until a few days ago i think we blocked a handful of usernames.

Now, if I, we have been chatting to someone via email here then they disappera abruptuly having contacted you first then try contact again not the next day but days/weeks later, I just block them as imo they are not the type we want. I would not just go off line for days when chatting to someone without say bte/etc etc.

Indeed, there may be times somethings happend EG wife walks in, kids walk in, oh half finds out about them being on FS, etc etc but rare imo.

I've also decided to blank those that start calling you 'boss' etc just because you ask them a question as well as those that keep calling you 'mate' as imo its very common and not for me/us.

Thanks and please do not have a go at me as this is how I am and just being very honest unlike some.

It is very nce to chat with like minded, nice men and women.

Haha, good job you're not a single male. You'd have blocked the entire fan population by now. They may have had work, gone to see friends, got watching tv and then not given fan a second thought til the next day

You do you, OP! I think blocking can be a controversial topic. Some people take it very personally. Others don't want to use the block button as they think it's rude. We use it like a filter - if someone is not for us, for whatever reason, we block. Saves us and them wasting our time. Everyone uses fab differently - as long as you're not going around hurling abuse, you do whatever works for you

This. If I fall out of your age range, or physical requirements range, block

If I’ve messaged and got no response? Block

It just filters out my search results. Nothing personal

I think things take time. And I don't block as I assume we can pick up the conversation later on, be that days or even weeks. I can do that with friends in my life so why not on here? Anyone that blocks me because I didn't reply when they expected me to is just pushy in my opinion. And I'm not sat here in my lingerie tapping my fingers impatiently so the rush?

Do you do sex chat with them or send more pics? They may have had their wank and only come back when they are horny again.

It's a good way to get rid of people who you're not compatible with.

Most people don’t feel the need to announce their criteria for blocking they just get on with it.

I think you are being a bit harsh on people. I know some have had genuine emergencies and have contacted me at a later date. If I’d blocked them I’d have never known. Some people deserve a chance.

This is good information. Just out of interest (as we are on your list) what sort of time frame does one have to get back to you? For anyone that is interested in trying to message you of course? Might be good to know if they can message you, go and make a brew and still be able to chat or message just before bed and then chat the next day after work? A time frame may help.

To be honest OP, after reading this and looking and your profile, it seems like having a conversation with you and your partner (if indeed she is an active part of this) would be a lot of hard work for little return.

Of course you have every right to conduct yourself (yourselves) on here in any way that you (both) see fit or which yields the results that you (both) desire in the most effective way.

From our point of view however, you seem to be a headache inducing mix of controlling and needy. We enjoy non-monogamy as a way to unwind and explore experiences we find pleasurable and not as a way to increase stress, pressure and deadlines in order to inflate someone’s ego.

For the above reasons we would respectfully request to be added to your inclusive block list.

Kind regards

Mr & Mrs CC83

I never block people. I simply don't read messages from people I don't want to hear from nor do I contact again someone that isn't keen on me.

Given your inability to handle the most outrageous, unfathomable betrayal and rejection a complete stranger can do to you......'BLOCK' you, something most people don't give a fuck about, my approach to you on here would send you into full blown hissy a child would be proud of.

Here's my lesson ive learnt. You don't wear the pants Im guessing, hence why you talk about blocking like your welding some power and teaching people a lesson. Got to get that smug superiority feeling from somewhere.

Anyway, thanks for the update.....you keep on fabbing, chin up!!

Another fascinating thread on the subject of blocking. Unless they are local, and making a damn nuisance of themselves, I can never understand the logic of blocking anyone from far away, when at the end of the day, who in their right mind is going to drive several hundred miles on the strength of a promise after only a couple of emails. It has happened that I've done distance, but only after several phone calls establishing that we have a connection. Now and again I've clicked on profiles from further afield to discover I'm blocked. The first thing that goes through my mind is what kind of numpties they must be, with the intelligence level of an abject moron to think that I am likely to be particularly perturbed at being blocked by them, and if it gave them a buzz by pressing the block button, it's highly unlikely that we would have a meeting of minds on which to build something for the future, so they are just as well being history before they even became news. Unless these people are on your doorstep that you are blocking, do you seriously expect them to be losing sleep over being blocked?

"Another fascinating thread on the subject of blocking.

You're assuming that everyone blocks you just for a reaction.

The vast majority on my block list are there because we have nothing in common and it's a good way to keep my update screen tidy and relevant. "

Really!!!

"You wrote that like it's a big announcement lol, I doubt anyone really cares if they're blocked or not, it's just a filter to stop messages.

K

I like how his profile says that he doesn't like 'cocky clowns', but has to make this big announcement.

Bllllllllock!!

Welcome to "The Majority Club", my friend!! "

Gosh, it's awfully crowded in here, isn't it?

I often don't reply for several days, as I have a busy life away from Fab.

Nor do I expect others to reply within a specific timescale.

If the OP wants to block people that don't reply with a designated period, that's up to them. I think it's counterproductive though, especially given that what the OP is seeking is a bit niche.

Blocking people because they have a job, a family or other commitments and don't respond in your timescale. Great idea.

I thought you were a couple, yet you keep saying I and not we ?

I'm confused. Think you must be the boss as you are obviously in charge of the profile. Shall I block myself?

Blocking someone (me on several occasions!) who has a fair number of messages to respond to, several chats in progress, and hasn't responded in a very few minutes.

Their loss, not mine, and likely saved me the bother of blocking them later when I would have found out they're far, far, away, or quite clearly haven't even bothered to read my profile.

Hello, if I block someone before they read my message, will their chat be deleted automatically?

I have sent a message I don't want them to read
