Just been watching Simon and Garfunkel’s concert in Central Park. Bridge Over Troubled Water even 40+ years after first hearing it still makes me tremble every time.

Anyone have songs that do the same for you?

Mine is Curse of the Traveller by Chris Rea, Op. it’s my funeral song and the first time I heard it, I knew it would follow me around for life.

Athlete, wires.

My baby daughter was in hospital at Christmas when I first heard this song and it was so apt it was untrue. I was running down corridors, through automatic doors to desperately get to her, just as the song says.

Still sends that shiver down my spine now.

Glad you’ve seen it, I didn’t think anyone would top Sting but Mr Porter certainly brings something new to the song. He also is the only guy in the World who could wear that hat and look so good in it
