A trailer has been released for the new Home Alone reboot known as Home Sweet Home Alone and from what I saw in the trailer, it looks terrible.

It has lines copied from the original movie, a few actors from the original returning as cameos and jokes that aren't funny.

This is pretty much Ghostbusters 2016 all over again.

Exactly. People are so fed up of reboots and remakes. It's no wonder everyone thinks that originality is dead.

Sounds feeble. Maybe I'll catch it when it ends up on Channel 5 next month.

(Actually is Channel 5 still a thing? I've just realised I can remember last time I've watched live TV)

The trailer shows that it will be beat for beat exactly the same as the 90s version.

I dont mind remakes and reboots if they try to do something different. Setting, tone etc. But if your just going to the original in HD what's the point.

The burglars in this reboot aren't that threatening either. It doesn't look like there will be much heart in it either.
