Just when I thought loyalty was returning to football, I have now read Messi is going to Newcastle,...either he just loves black and white, or was it the £ that he just couldn't resist, makes me sick, what are people's thoughts

I just hope he can't understand a word spoken to him in his new home town, that will be the small piece of justice to my thoughts

It's a job, he got an offer to get paid more for doing the exact same thing he was previously doing.

I fail to see the issue.

What person would not do the same thing when presented with the chance. Loyalty does not exist when it comes to big payout corporate situations.

The thought of loyalty when it comes to football is laughable. The sooner people realise that players (and anyone getting paid that much) don't give a single fuck about being loyal to you or your feelings on it. They are going to go where the money, perks and/or success is.

I just don't understand the importance that sport plays in society.

Years ago when people supported their town football team the players either came from that town or near by so I understand that.

Today's premier League is generally a bunch of foreign million Aires kicking a ball so don't get what people are actually supporting
