When I first started to drive I thought I'd hate it.. I love parking. Especially parallel parking, it's so easy once you get the nack and know the sweet spot to put full lock on.

Cameras and sensors are great.

When I lived in a city centre I was a dab hand, but now I’m out of practice.

Define successful…

I manage to park my car every time that I stop and it’s within the white lines if required…

How other road users or people in the car park feel about it is none of my business

Pretty good, the parking where I live can be kinda annoying and most days I would have to reverse park into a space, now we have made the front garden into a pull on which is soooooo much nicer

Check the settings - you may have it set to 'paranoid'.

We're all fine. We have to reverse park on our drive which is on a narrow steep hill so parallel parking is a breeze. Practice makes perfect, acceptance of failure doesn't. A good idea is to find an empty car park and just practice revesing into different bays. That teaches all the basic manoeuvres and clutch control with no risk of hitting anything.

"How successful are you at car parking... "

I had to park outside the garage to drop my car off for MOT or something … the mechanics were all stood there so the pressure was on - I was so excited by how well I parked i wish I’d filmed it lol - I’m usually a bit crap tbh

Same! I tell mine to fuck off If the rear camera doesn't show me touching the wall/car behind, then we're good

I'm equally able without the parking sensors. My 2012 model happens to have them, though. I learned to park in an M-reg Corsa with no power steering
