Beautiful “Mistakes”

Jump to newest

So after yesterdays national coming out day I wanted to do an appreciation post about all the beautiful “mistakes” (bare with me, not a mistake at all but that’s how I felt for a very long time!!that’s why I decided to call it that)

Whether it’s a trans woman or a man, or (cis) gay man or (cis) lesbian woman or whatever. It doesn’t matter

I’m in awe at how brave some of these individuals are

And you can name some too so we can have all have a look!

I’m just dividing categories _ased on gender identity and sexuality (but they can be either way as those two as we all know are different but can mix)

I’ll start:

Trans women

Kim Petras (singer)

Dani St James (influencer/activist)

Maya Henry (YouTuber)

Hunter Schafer (Actress)

Indya Moore (actress)

Trans men

Francesco cicconetti (influencer/activist)

Leith Ashley (singer)

Kenny Ethan Jones

Aydian Dowling (Activist)

Gay

Rylan Clark Neal (we know ry!!)

Russel Tovey (actor)

Tom Dailey and Lance black (so inspiring to see two dads!!) (athlete and director)

Gareth Thomas (athlete)

I mean this list can go on forever really!!

Lesbian

Sarah Paulson (actress)

Jodie foster

Rosie o’donnell

Nats Getty and Gigi Gorgeous (lesbian couple and Gigi is a trans woman who’s lesbian

)

So yes, let’s be positive today and celebrate all these amazing people who had the guts to come out and live their best lives!

This thread make me so happy and yes all of these people and many more are totally amazing.

When you are in the Public eye, it must be so much harder yet it’s these people that can use their status to ‘normalise’ and change peoples thoughts and opinions for the better.

I for one am celebrating and supporting

Exactly it shouldn’t matter at all and maybe one day none will have the need to explain who they are or who they love but for now I’m so grateful there are some people like that who can be an inspiration

Shouldn't even have to come out in an ideal world! Ashame some people can't just live and let live and just live their life. I didn't need to come out i was myself at school! Where's my gold star sticker hahahahaha Just joking LGBTQ+ youth do need positive role models as does everyone.

Elliot Page is another.

It’s terrible the amount of hate and aggression these people have to go through just to express and be themselves.

Unfortunately I think there’s still a long long way to go before minorities of any kind will be welcomed as part of society.

Awww I’m so happy for him!! Omg they usually are so gorgeous!! I have a friend of a friend who’s a woman but is so masculine looking and was open about her desire to transition but can’t atm. He’ll make a handsome man when that happens x

None should come out in an ideal world and just naturally be yourself. Sadly it isn’t like that at the moment but I dream of a world in the future where really it doesn’t matter and we are all just people x

Love is love guys

Nikkie from Nikkie Tutorials.

I remember watching her coming out video and thinking "surely it's not as big of a deal as she's making it out to be?". As in, it's obviously a big deal to her to be able to tell her story but it won't change how her viewers and MUA community love and appreciate her for her incredible skills and not how she presents. Luckily I was right

I hate that she even felt she had to keep it hidden, due to the fact we live in a society where people judge you on appearance rather than merit
