I've been speaking to a few single guys recently who have told me how hard it is to get a verification on here, whether it's a meet or a webcam.

It doesn't take a lot of effort for someone who is verified to have a very quick cam session with these people just to help them get their tick.

I'd much rather give credence to how someone interacts with us, than any verification status.

After being given 2 webcam veri's from people who've not even seen us and admin doing nothing to correct it, despite both sides reporting it; hearing tales of a wanking cock being verified on cam. It's no verification at all.

Far better to get along to the many socials being held again now, and make some real, meaningful connections.

I think things like this need more emphasis on. Either because sometimes signals can be misjudged, or some people just take the chance to be lucky.

It is nothing more than a helpful good deed to get people started. No indication of anything going further (unless it is clearly specified).

Having a verification will clearly increase chances, but it won't suddenly have you struggling to find time due to all the interest.

Always better to be verified and not need it than to not have it and need it.

we would never take notice of a cam veri and alot of guys know that then hide them to try and fool people ..

so more guy varified for wanking n chatting on cam yeah great ... not

we may take note of a meets veri but even they are give out falsely now by women wanting attention or money ...think its time to not look at veri's any more and just do a social and see how it pans out .... rip to the veri's

I would assume that most would prefer a face to face verification rather than a webcam one. Although the idea is for use is that the person behind the profile is who they say they are but I used veris for other things too such as personality etc etc it kinda builds that person and what they are like in person if that makes sense. However I think it was brought up on another thread about you can go the opposite way and go over the top with someones verification so there is that too. Just read between the lines really

I hate the verification system. I believe you should be able to accept whether you want a verification before someone is allowed to verify you. I know you can choose to display what they say but you should have a choice if you want one added to the number you already have, the summary then.

Some guy gave me a web verification a couple of weeks ago for absolutely no reason. Now it looks like I’ve been actively meeting when my last meet was actually 2 years ago!

All a webcam veri proves is the sex of the person therefore I would not take that to mean they are genuinely looking to meet .

Only meet veries hold any real value for many on here

I’m not with you on that one. A good meet verification from a well verified account proves you’ve actually showered, dressed and turned up when you said you would. Apparently that’s a dying art on here.

Cam veris only prove you’re the person in the pics.

Aren't verifications a bit like how Facebook started out - rate those you met and had fun with? Then later it turned into a huge advertising.

Your first sentence is correct for us. If someone is meh we wouldn’t meet them either. They have to be verified, in our age range and able to accommodate before we’d chat. If they’re interesting and we get along we’d consider meeting

No I wouldn't, I have my filter on to stop unverified mailing me, unfortunately it does not differentiate between type of verification.

I wouldn't meet someone I'm not attracted to, regardless of being meet verified.

I always show EVERY verification I have,

it would be helpful if everyone had to automatically do so.

A lot about another can be gauged by those verifications and to provide room for people to hide them mean people can get away with or hide a lot.

Did you bother to report them as a no show? I’m not sure what that actually leads to on here, but it’s one of the options. We need an Uber style 5 star rating. No idea how it would actually work though.

I guess it could be tweaked, but hiding the summary and just posting a selection of positive (and hopefully recent) ones should do the trick for most. I just got my first, and have displayed and hid it variously. Still undecided. But I’m no Adonis and I got it 3 weeks after joining, I think if you’ve gone a year and got none that’s a combo of harsh but also a judgement on you somehow, either your profile, your approach, or your personality once chatting

So if you’re not getting looks, maybe your profile needs work. If you’re not getting answers maybe your profile and first message approach needs work. If you’re getting answers but it’s fizzling out fast, maybe your personality has something to answer for and so on
