Brie on toast, not melted, just sufficient residual heat from the toast to make the brie softer.

Very tasty with a sprinkle of salt and freshly ground pepper.

I shall have another slice in a mo!

I love cheese, however, don't eat it much in the UK when out in pubs and restaurants, as they usually keep them too cold due to health and safety concerns.

My favourite to date is Epoisse, a very soft stinky French cheese, affectionately known as the run everywhere cheese as introduced to me by my European colleagues, as one normally needs to spoon it out of its wooden tub as it is very soft and fluid.

It tastes divine!

Im like that with stilton, im a conisseour on stilton cheese. I keep it until you can spread it on bread like butter, just before the maggots get too it

Can't remember what it is, however, it was heavily discounted as it is very close to its sell by date.

Since I have this rather relaxed attitude towards expiration date on food, I grabbed it as it was a big piece of cheese!

For all of you suggesting cheese on toast (or other warm breaded product) may I suggest you try adding a smidge of Chilli Jam.

Try Cornish Brie it's gorgeous and so is Yarg, which is a hard pale cheese wrapped with nettle leaves, it's great with butter on warm freshly baked bread

I have a lovely cheesemonger in St. Andrews where I usually buy it but discovered a pack of it in the Co-Op last week.

I look forward to my daughters home-made picallili (sp) and apricot chutney as a christmas present. She may not have a lot of dosh to lash out but her presents are so much more appreciated when made with love. xx

I have seen quince jelly in Sainsbury and Waitrose too.

A thoughtful made present trumps anything shop bought (unless it's diamonds).

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

My current cheese love is Port Salut, and we also have some lovely goats cheese in the house. I adore cheese. When my family ran a restaurant we had a small cheese shop and it killed me not to eat the lot!
