Just heard that the guy that presented Finger Bobs...Rick Jones (84) has died.. I used to watch finger Bobs as a child and loved it...sad news RIP Rick. I love watching all the old children's programmes like Finger Bob's, Mr Benn, Top Cat, some I need to find and re watch too..Mary Mungle and Midge, Hartley Hare...Oh the nostalgia.

Oh yes those were the good old days when life was so easy. Quite often I watch them on YouTube.

I once took a Jackie Collins book from the library without getting it stamped. I did however return it once I read it.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Yoffy lifts a finger and a mouse appears...

I loved Fingerbobs. RIP Rick Jones and thanks for this quiet joy of childhood.

Michael Bentine's Potty Time was also cheap and cheerful.

Children's programmes were slower then. Looking at them now it's not easy to see why we loved them so much. I heard a radio programme about the evolution of children's television content.
