Pro bikes are very expensive so an obvious target for low lifes. Hope the cyclist was ok.

Did they have a spare rider to ride off with it?

No. They had motorcycles...

Yeah those bikes retail for 10-15k

Will be stripped and sold as parts really hard to sell on a frame as distinctive as that

Lot to be said for disguising the frame and flying under the criminal radar

I would have thought it would be tricky to hang on to a pushbike when you’re on a motorbike?

Even more difficult to hold on to your pushbike when it’s on a motorbike.

Hope it was insured if it was expensive and that nobody was hurt.

I dont know but I figures after a conversation I had at work today. A couple of guys are keen cyclists and they were saying their bikes are worth over a grand. Then they talked about a bike that four grand second hand and apparently it was a good price for that bike. You can buy a blood car for that

Lorries, vans, cars, motorbikes and push bikes get nicked every day. Nothing ever seems to be done and criminals resort to violence because they know they can get away with it.

The usual thing is you haven't locked it or insured it, its your own fault. No it bloody isn't, it's the criminals fault for taking stuff that doesn't belong to them!

Anyway I hope the guy is OK and they find and punish the thieves (some hope).

They sell the bike to buy stuff they can't afford.

"Most of this happening in London..."

More people in London equates to more crime.

It also depends on how much gets reported as to how much we see.

Agreed and it sounds out of control in London...
