Got chatting to a couple yesterday who don’t like larger people “with rolls” which is absolutely fine but

this got us thinking

We try to be honest I’ve described myself as curvy size 14/16 but should I put ample/large instead?

Hubby is 16/17 stone but not fat just has a beer belly on him not from beer though! Is he ample or large!?

Will sip on my SlimFast while reading replies ??

We’re in the same boat here. I think the way you’ve described yourselves is a fair assessment. Also who doesn’t have rolls when they sit down?!

If some people can identify as a refrigerator without fear of condemnation, you can describe your stature as any way you deem fit

If anyone agrees to change yours to ample I need to re-evaluate my whole profile

In my eyes you are the definition of curvy.

I can't comment on your husband as I can't tell x

The rolls bit did make us laugh I can’t remember the last time I had no rolls when sitting down

Isn’t size 14-16 the average size for UK women?

I've got "fat as butter" down on mine so there is no ambiguity.

Looking at your pictures I'd say you'd fall in the "average" bracket!

Lol @ "don't like larger people with rolls". We all have rolls depending how we sit!!

I’ve seen slim people with rolls. I think unless you have an athletic physique then there are going to be some rolls. Some people’s are just more filled than others.

Luckily there are a lot of people around here who like some rolls

I think it’s important to include pictures that clearly show your body type to avoid confusion.

I’ve met people that class themselves as curvy that are just obese

And many girls say they are “thicc” when they just aren’t

Pictures don’t lie

Put what you feel and make sure you have pictures that are clear enough to avoid misunderstandings (fully dressed even), is what I would do.

I've even gone as far as to put my height & weight into my profile, for anyone bothered enough to calculate my BMI.

Someone describing their own body shape/Size will be different to how someone else sees them. I know a guy on here that describes himself as athletic when in my opinion he's average at best

Thank you, so do you!

I buy my clothes from the 'curvy' section so that's what it is. The terms used here are not linear and they overlap. Some describe shape, some size.

I only get confused when someone messages me even though they explicitly say in their profile that they like slim people.

We used to call them 'Chubby chasers', but you hear that often now.

There's lots of ways to describe a Fuller figure - none of them will offend me.

I very self generously changed my body type to curvy this week. Its always been set to large. But my size is stated and photos are abundant.

Also, EVERYONES gut turns into tolls when they're folded in half!

One person's fat is another person's cuddly x
