Hacking out with friends on a beautiful day in nice scenery.

It's been way too long since I was able to do that.

Today I am happy as we are going for some retail therapy soon, followed by a lazy day and tomorrow a early morning shoot and walk

My parents went clay shooting regularly when I was a kid, mostly at the Mid Norfolk Shooting School. I used to trap there.

I know it might upset some but I always lived rough shooting at first and last light. When I was hardly bigger than a twelve bore I was taken out and learnt field crafts. Bagged my first rabbit at first light one Sunday morning and I was so proud. Took it back and learnt to gut and skin it and it was in a pie and eaten the same day. The memory of it still makes me smile.

My dad still does that sometimes though he more frequently works as a beater. He's just getting into ferreting too.

I'm a huge fan of rough shooting and field craft, been doing it since I was six.

started with a little .22 air rifle and now have a pair of Beretta 12's and an AI-AW.338 lap mag.

My kids all shoot too.

Not a lot these days.

My wife and cats.

I'd say things like sunshine etc, but we don't get enough of it to make a difference any more!

"Happy people make me happy...it's a knock on affect."

Sometimes it can have the opposite effect though. If someone comes at me all happy when I'm really not in the mood, I'm likely to want to snap their neck!

I started taking my daughter with me when doing clays, and brought her a .410, she always used to watch me cut and gut what I brought home.
