I wonder about this too. Generally I don't. But sometimes people do a bulk delete and miss your messages. So I ask people who aren't interested to simply block me. Makes it easier in future

No. If you really like them try again once, especially if the original one is unread. I miss half of mine and often bulk delete. I don’t think it’s rude. It is if you keep on and on.

No of course not. Sometimes I open a message and notice they have messaged before and I have not responded. I then feel incredibly bad as know I miss loads of messages even though i answer so many. I would urge all men not to take it to heart if they do not get a response and try again at a later date.

Interesting, I always just assume someone is not interested, especially if I see they have read the message, maybe I need to change tack a bit.

It’s not rude but I’d wonder why you’d want to.

It could come across as pushy or needy and undo your first message.

I would say most people respond to the people they are interested in. Either friends or a person they are keen on.

If I don't reply and get another message a few days later, yes it annoys me. If its months later, that might be different.

OP

We get it often - EG we almost always respond to the itntial contact saying thanks/no thanks/we will see etc etc, then they send several more emails. I decide if to respond or ignore. IMO at least they can feel better knowing that at least someone has replied. So nothing wrong with that OP but I would not do it

We don't generally reply if not interested. If we send an initial mail to a profile and get no reply, we take that as a "thanks but no thanks" and move on.

We get duplicate mail from some single guys, all saying the same thing so we take that as saturation mailing. Send out loads of messages and bound to get one back. We don't reply to those even if the guy would be suitable.

But if we received mail and a few days later another asking if we had seen the first, we would reply either that we did and no thanks or that we did and he may get mail once we have taken time to make a decision.

So no, not rude

No I don't think so unless they have spacificly told you there not interested previously in which case yes a bit... I miss lots of messages as I'm not a site supporter so at the min I have 272 unread messages but I can only scroll through the last 100 or something like that, plus I might sometimes read a message and think I'll reply later but forget. I do find it annoying if a profile messages my like 20 times in the space of an hour without a reply tho

I don’t want to block people just because I’m not for them or vice versa. I often talk to people I’m not wanting sex with and this site isn’t just for sex.

So I should be a bit clearer

Not sending multiple messages in the same day/week.

I work internationally and don't have access for a month or more at a time so tend to message when am on my way home.

I don't want to come across as push so tend to messages a profile once then leave it never though of asking to be blocked if no interest

Actually someone did this, in the second message he spoke more, made me realise I really wanted to meet him, and we did, several great times

So, yes, I'd say it's worth it but don't send the same generic message as the first time

If the message has been read then I would definitely take that as not interested.

However, the only time I've followed up an unanswered message was after I'd been chatting with the person for quite sometime previously.
