"Some people have lost their homes, crops that earn someone a living have been decimated, tourism will have been further affected… Is it still funny do you think? " That's what you get for living under nature's rule. You can't expect an active volcano not to........activate.

"Making fun of people losing their homes is not funny however you try to dress it up " I'm not dressing anything up, just stating a fact. Just love the way people sugar coat reality.

"Historically humans Have lived near volcanoes despite the perceived risk because it does come with a lot of benefits, chiefly of which is the incredible fertility of volcanic soil. Hence the prevalence of farming communities tapping into this rich soil. Yes it's awful that folks have lost everything but it's also something they'll have known going in. From a farming perspective in due course it should become possible to rebuild (though the agrarian aspect is less my region of expertise)" On the positive, they have gained a sizeable piece of land, while here in Britain we've lost land to erosion. Definitely good for growing too.
