Sending pics to people who then go UNLOS

Would this make you feel paranoid..?

We stayed chatting for a bit after and tbf he only disappeared when I suggested a drink.

Also it was just an innocent face pic, but still... Makes you wonder how many people out there have your pics.

How do you make sure you trust who you're speaking to? Aside from just not using the Internet...

I tend to wait ages before sharing a face picture. I like to have an idea if I’d like someone before giving a picture. I’ve been told it’s wrong though, and I should send one after one message. So… it’s personal.

Not really as I don’t post or share anything that I wouldn’t want out there in the public eye so to speak so wouldn’t really bother me

All ways good to rember don’t post or share pics that you wouldn’t want out there

I know that’s not the way it should be but some people are just down right nasty

When i first joined i felt under a lot of pressure to send photos, too naive to know about pic collectors or that most are just Wankers (literally)

There is one pic i regret sharing with someone that i thought i was going to meet... I didn't realise back then that just because you were messaging 'with seeming intent' it didn't mean you were going to meet or that they were genuine

It definitely made me pause and think about who is this random stranger that i gave so much trust too because they seemed genuine ?!? It certainly made me paranoid for a bit.. And on reflection its probably why i am so cautious and guarded

I don't really have any tips for when/how to share or how to know if someone is genuine.. I don't do 'sexy' chat, perhaps that helps get rid of the wankers?

I have discovered as a site supporter you can set your photos to expire after they have been viewed on a message which is a useful feature

It’s so hard making those initial connections. Building the repartee and trust with (what in reality is) a perfect stranger. I think there is not an easy answer to this as you can be chatting for weeks with someone without them knowing what you look like. Everything you are both saying is giving you the confidence that this person could really be someone you would like to meet. Then the face pic (or body pic arrives and you simply do not find them attractive. The kind person would say immediately that there is some kind of issue. Most just disappear without word or warning and leaving a huge dent in your confidence.

That way it’s just a face pic with no context.

And I only send face pics to folk I am interested in or intend meeting, not just anyone who asks.

I think I’m in a fortunate position of not having to worry particularly about being ‘outed’ for being on here or my regular social media being found, not that I really have any, so I have no issue sending a face pic to people, but even having said that I keep my face off my nudes that I post or send, it’s one or the other. The exception being sending a face pic showing as much as you would see on a beach I guess so it’s still clear that the body pics of me are me.

When I first joined I exchanged facepics with a woman after chatting for a few weeks and she immediately blocked me so I never found out the reason why. We've all heard of the chat groups that share pics of other people but in more recent times I've learned that not only do some people keep private notes on here but they also have screenshots of private messages, forum posts and pics.

I initially thought they were just being paranoid and overly cautious but as time goes on its obvious they are obsessed with what others are doing and see them as direct competition.

I often wonder when I see them being forum besties how the other person would react if they were aware of how they were being spoken about in private and how their details including pics were being shared.

For that reason alone I don't share facepics anymore and I've become more guarded in conversation as well as much more cynical.

We only send face pics after chatting for a while. Sometimes that's where the chat ends so we remove them, it's hard to get the 4 way connection.

Always nicer when we get a reply

saying where not there type, feel more at ease about them seeing our face if that makes sense.

We never show anything more than our face when sending face pics

It's a real concern. I don't share anything too explicit ever, on any site, and I can count on one hand the people I've sent explicit photos to directly over the last decade and still have fingers left. I also make sure there is nothing on a photo that would identify me, I don't tend to send face photos at a very early stage and I don't send one before I've received one. Any face photo I do send is an inoccuous fully-clothed selfie.

I don't do sex talk (it bores me and I'm rubbish at it) and frankly I'm not a looker, so anyone looking for wank fodder is highly unlikely to want that from me (I'm a very tough wank!).

I accept that any photos I choose to show or to share are then beyond my control and can be used by anyone for any purpose. Back around 2012/3 one of my photos was stolen from another site and used to advertise an amateur porn site. It gave me a bit of hassle at the time (I was accused of fakery all over the sites I was using back then) but it did teach me caution. Thankfully the site that stole the photo was a bit crap and didn't last long but I learned a lesson from it.

I dont send face pics anymore as too many timewasters. Will only send if trust built and i get one first as sent first before on promise of return and most bottle out so now just meet in public and if that fussed about face they can say so then.
