Having been browsing today I’m just irked at people guys n gals who put out invites to meet

You read their profile and it’s direct threats that you will be blocked for this or that, mostly insignificant things

Many of these people aren’t exactly appealing sexually.

So why put out an invite then have a list of abrupt warnings…is this the only authority they have in their lives?

Just so many impolite folks here

I don't know why people get so hung up on those that exhibit traits that aren't attractive to them

Just click off the profile or block them, then move on

Threads like this only extend the negativity, by introducing conjecture about the whys and wherefores of other peoples motives and motivations

They can make all the rules and conditions they like. Also you say they're not exactly sexually appealing, so why be bothered about it all?...they maybe sexually appealing to others.

My mindset.....

That's their profile to do as they see fit!

There's your right to ignore and move on....

It's a bit like photos, you aren't going to like all of them.

Why would people only threaten to block? If someone pisses you off, just block them. It's not a democracy.

Most people just aren't compatible with the majority of other people.

For this reason, if your expectations are not based on this, it's reasonable to consider them unrealistic.

Profiles and public communication is the only way that people can express their preferences and aim to reduce the contact they get from unmatched people. How they do this is their choice.

It's to everyone's benefit if unmatched people are blocked, to prevent wasted effort by all sides.

Whether it's a long list of likes and dislikes, do's and don'ts, detaciled specifications of those exclusively invited to make contact, the result is the same - filtering out the unmatched.

Either side can block, when it's clear you're not making it to the shortlist. Welcome anything that makes fab life easier. Be happy with rejection

Our first profile was all sunshine and optimism.

Our second was positivity and openess ... after that we became more cynical. We had to remove references to kink because it attracted so many messages that we didn't want. My wife lost interest in reading the same messages over and over.

We started to get less from the site as we put less in.

I try not to be impolite but sometimes you feel like you have no choice

It’s obviously just me being to sensitive is what I’m picking up

The reason for the post wasn’t rejection or being blocked

No point in trying to explain or justify further , I put up now I will shut up lol

It's not just you. Alot of people find the negative energies on profiles off putting.

But I find they are negative for a reason.

And it's not the fault of the people messaging either. It's just a reaction to demanding behaviour

That's the real difference I think.

I understand what you are saying. And when we started I would have thought the same. But we only see their profile once and that for a moment. But they endure a drip drip drip on their patience and they respond accordingly. Some have the patience of a Saint and some just don't have the mental energy to deal with it all.

I try to have empathy for both sides because I have been on both sides.

I put up filters to stop messages and I have messaged people I like and don't get replies sometimes.

Everyone gets out of the site what they put in

I have added those kinds of warnings on my profile before and tbh I still have some. And it's as others have said - it's cynicism setting in. Negative energy from the negative, crude, unwanted crap in my inbox.

Also you may think those things are insignificant but if someone gets them a dozen times a day maybe not?
