Left it to heal, at that age I would have been too embarrassed to go to a doctor. It did mean I couldn’t get turned on for a couple weeks

When my daughter was a baby I took a p/t job at the local hospital at the weekend. I did reception in A&E and had to book the patients in and ask them questions about their injury.

We used to quite often get people in with items stuck inside them. It was really hard at times to keep a straight face at their ridiculous explanations. A male couple came in on a Sunday morning and explained that one of them slipped in the bath and the bar of soap had “whooshed” into his a*se.
