This is the name of a new dinosaur found on the Isle of White. Half Crocodile, Half Bird and experts say it would of been very dangerous. But why do they keep finding these buggers on the Isle of Wight and why is it their spiritual home

But why would all of these dinosaurs live on a small island. I have not been to the IOW but I imagine it's a very spiritual place. Have they found ancient human remains there too?

It's hard to imagine they could survive with such a concentration of dinosaurs.

from where i live, if you time the tide right, you can walk across to the IoW, so realistically its got a degree of attachment to the mainland.

There's a tunnel between the island and France so maybe thats where the humans hid?

How long is the walk?"

Only done it once and took just over an hour. Hard going due to the sandbanks and shelves, but can be done! If it was a straight run, probably about 10-20 mins

It never used to be a small island.

It was once part of a massive supercontinent called Pangaea.

There also weren't more dinos in the area where the Isle of Wight is, it's just that it was covered in many swamps and rivers and was a perfect environment for fosils to form. After they formed the land hasn't really changed much so nothing broke up the fosils.

Add to that that much of the stone in the Isle of White is easy to errode (and is due to the weather at quite a large rate), many fosils are being exposed all the time.
