sign in a tower block in stockport reads

"in case of fire do not use lift "

so are they saying not to use the lift in case theres a fire ?

It should say "in the event of a fire, do not use the lift" really shouldn't it

sign on the lawns read " F##k you if you stand on me"

i think they must have employed a british language student with a sense of humour to do the translation.
