Fareham

Having been to Pembrokeshire we met a couple from there going to holiday in the new forest near us.

Must admit it made me think I don’t appreciate its beauty and take it for granted.

What’s on your doorstep that you don’t appreciate as much as you could?

Cheltenham

Lived here for 15 years. Only been going up the local hills for the past 3 years. Malverns, Breadon....

I can't believe it took me so long but I'm there 3 times a week now.

I think your eyes become accustomed to beauty if you see it regularly.

Obviously we're very near the sea but we rarely go and sit on the beach

Buildings

Cotton era mills and the grandiose public buildings that often went with them

Dubai & Nottingham

I spent a few years in my 20s in Australia and Asia but had barely been anywhere in the U.K. I discovered the Peak District by accident having small kids and could only afford to camping and have been back hundreds of times with them, still go now with them as adults and mates, hiking, climbing, abseiling, rafting, camping it’s literally an hour away and has sine amazing places like Kinder Scout, Ladybower Dam, Man Tor, Derwent & Curbar Edge and less well known ones like Winn Hill & Lumsdale Waterfalls, Luds Church, RAF crash sites on moors.

I have to say, it's something I always appreciate. I used to drive a very scenic route to work up around Wicklow, Ireland. I love Wicklow, the mountains, the scenery. One of my favourite things to do is take a drive through the countryside.
