I love Brighton, Margate, Broadstairs, Rye, Dymchurch, Sheerness. Most places on the south/south east coast, really, as I have some great childhood holiday memories from them.

There are so many beautiful places I’d like to explore in the west and the south west; most of Wales would be on my list, plus Gloucester, Chepstow, and the south west in general, really.

I'm a bit embarrassed to say I've never been to Scotland or Northern Ireland so they're top of my wish list.

My go to is Wales or the West Country, where I am this week.

Go to getaway - Scotland, particularly Aberdeenshire and Stonehaven, the Highlands (Cairngorms) and the rugged, rural delights of Inverness and surrounding areas. My heart will always be in Scotland.

I love the Cotswolds for their quaint, cottagecore charm and their idyllic babbling brooks. Oh and the Lake District!

I'd love to visit...

More of Yorkshire. You know proper hiking boots on, walking for miles, nice country pubs along the way. I've probably been to most of the UK #humbleandshitbrag.

Same here, other than a quick(!) drive across the border to Edinburgh many years ago with a long term girlfriend while on holiday in Berwick. Lindisfarne was very interesting and yes, of course we almost got stuck…

Eire is beautiful too. I visited Kilorglin and Kilkenny to see an old work colleague and her new family, again many years ago, and also explored a little around Cork.

I’ve always dreamed of taking a road trip around N.I. too, but recent years have changed my priorities and circumstances, so it looks like I’m saving those for retirement!

The Lake District, the stunning landscape is breathtaking. The changeable weather and the visions it creates never fail to delight. I prefer the North Lakes away from the crowds predominantly. I’m looking forward to a week there in October.

I’m so captivated by the Lakes I struggle to want to be anywhere else

We actually enjoy going to Newcastle or Lancaster to see friends. York to see family. We live in The Lake District so it just doesn't do it for us. We can nip into the water/fells before or after work so it isn't a getaway for us!

The UK is really great, I'm more than happy to holiday here. Each area has it's high spots that are equal to anywhere else, so I guess it's more about the type of holiday location you prefer.

Personally I love it where I live, in fact anywhere along the Essex/Suffolk border is pretty amazing. But obviously in a very different way to the Highlands or Moors...

I've visited Scotland and Northumbria often - love them both but I would love to see Wales for the first time. I am not from the UK, so many places are still new. I'd love to structure a tour around visiting castles and grand houses.

We've been to most of England (apart from the south coast). We have also been to nearly all of Wales and Scotland.

The problem with the UK is it is too crowded and expensive. In our motorhome we have to try much harder to find quiet places than we do in Europe.

Even on peak season in Europe we never book anywhere and just wander about using the free Aires. In the UK most places want you to book. This summer we used the camping and caravanning club temporary holiday sites in Northumberland and Wales without booking but couldn't get to the south coast as booking was required and the sites were full.

So our favourite places are anywhere we can find where there aren't any other people. Very difficult in the UK.

In the middle of putting together a 'must do' list.

Also been wondering if I could make it into a bit of a FAB tour, check out a club (CJs?) and see if I could organise any socials or gatherings.

North East Coast (Yorkshire etc), went to Whitby as a kid so fond memories. Would like to see Lindisfarne. Shropshire, I read a series of books as a kid set around the Long Mynd, I've always wanted to go there.

I live near the Yorkshire Dales so this is my go to to get away from civilisation.

Going to Scotland next month for 5 days, ending up in Fort William but plan to stop off around Loch Lomand on the way.

Would love to visit the Islands off Scotland - Skye being at the top of the list…

Been to many a place in the UK through my life, and don’t think I’ve found a lace I didn’t like (maybe one). My favourite is Scotland for it’s pure natural beauty, good memories and not many people, plus I’ve been lucky and never been rained on.

Anywhere with natural beauty, some history and I can get lost for hours. I’m limited to public transport and where my feet can get me too, so some places are beyond my reach, unfortunately

I'm very lucky in that I live very close to the Peak District...it's truly stunning, especially if you know the quieter places so can enjoy it without crowds.

I'd love to visit the Scottish Highlands and Islands...and the NC500 is definitely on my bucket list. I'd also like to visit the North coast of Ireland.

I grew up in the highlands (username giveaway) it’s beautiful up there and I love to get back to Aviemore and Skye when I can, I then joined the navy and spent loads of time down Devon and Cornwall.

These days I’m just happy to get time off and make the most of it no matter where I am

I also live in the East and North Essex through Suffolk to Norfolk is full of beautiful countryside and coastline.

I’d like to while away a few weeks in the remote Scottish Highlands. In an old stone cottage with an open fire and plenty of blankies.

I’d go trampling in nature in day, have a hot bubble bath and settle before the roaring fire with a glass of Baileys and a good book, maybe with the radio on.

I’d like to hire a camper van and visit all the Scottish coast and get over to the Scottish islands for a nosey.

Shropshire and the Long Mynd is my locality, it truly is beautiful. And with Wales on the doorstep what is not to love

I've got a 7 seater car that I can convert into a camper to do that.

It's got window covers and an inflatable bed

Just not sure when at the moment.
