How many people on here you think you wouldn't like but if you met them in person you would? And likewise how many people you think you would like but if you met them you wouldn't?

I don’t think there's any replacement for real life interaction and sometimes it throws surprises.

Your last sentence says it all there is no replacement for real life face to face interaction.I don't think you can ever gauge anyone from messaging or text even on a forum.

Those that I have met socially have all been fab (pun intended)

A few probably. Not that I actively dislike anyone but text gets misconstrued, add in my own bias when it comes to interpreting someone and I'm not seeing the real them, just how I think they would be through my less than objective lense.
