I did but I found just nosey ex colleagues checking up if I can still be of any use giving them references

some good discussion groups on recruitment etc etc

I think if you are in the market to change jobs, it can be good

i agree with _iew there,

headhunters do look at sites like this but some are agencies so becareful

I think the key is verifications from as broad a spectrum as possible: direct reports, suppliers & customers if looking to change roles

It's another social networking site, however, this one appears to be more acceptable at work place, as one does not go and check one's update every 5min etc...

I can't be arsed with it.

Yes I use it, and yes have been contacted via it. It's also great to keep in touch with connections. Upload CVS etc.

Eveshamgirl if you write your profile well and join the correct groups it's a very useful tool for furthering your career. Just be careful who you accept as friends ie if you are working at the moment and seeking a new job don't accept any work colleagues / bosses... But definitely join x

I will warn people....there are some that will use whatever personal details are on this linkd in site to play games, and they think its amusing....just be careful, it also has its disadvantages
