Do you reckon the people who steal…

Consider the effects on the person they’ve stole from?

For example people who nick cars, say that car belonged to a heart surgeon, who then couldn't get to work or was late for work due to the theft. That knocks on to someone dying because the surgeon was late or was absent. All because they saw a car they wanted and felt entitled to take it.

I know most who steal don't care. Their need is greater in their minds i suppose.

If they did consider it and still went ahead anyway then they scum and should be wiped out. I’ve no sympathy or time for thieves. Especially burglars that prey specifically on the elderly.

I don't think they do... Although I do understand people who steal food out of necessity

I think a lot of people don't think through most of their actions and consequences... On the whole we (the human race) are fairly selfish and self-absorbed

Years ago I sent my passport away to have my little boys name added. I had to send his birth certificate along with my passport and a cheque. Never got anything back. The check was cashed by the passport office but the birth certificate and passport were gone for good. I was heartbroken as a childs birth certificate is very precious to a mother and father. Obviously I have a copy but it is not the same as the original.

I think there are some that are just thieves and that’s just how their cloth is cut but I think there are people that do things in life they (either at the time or later down the line)regret some decisions they made. It’s very easy to slip into a life of crime if the cards you are dealt offer no reliability or security. Best to judge things on the merits of the situation at hand. rather than-take the easy road of saying.all people who do bad things or make dubious decisions are bad and inconsiderate.

Remember there are different types of thieves. Im morally and ethically against it and have been the victim of burglaries x2.

I do have a little kleptomania issue myself , focused solely on pens.

In the last year though I consciously say to people , here have your pen back so they know I haven't pocketed it.

I often don't realise I've done it til I get home.

A lot of thieves are quite bright, it takes some nous and cunning to steal most things. So they do think about it but either don't care or rationalise it to suit themselves. Usually very egotistical people who put themselves first in everything.

I've heard of people in the retail trade, who have their wages docked for thefts. If they're already struggling to make ends meet, that's an utterly low blow by the shareholding corporations.

Said thieves probably imagine it's a victimless crime.

Some people are in it purely for profit, rather than need.

It always becomes someone elses mess to clear up.

Nicking bread or sanitary products or other essentials doesnt seem as bad even though its still theft. Outside of that it makes no sense

It's something that I think about probably more than I should.

When I see stuff on the news or whatever my mind goes into overdrive of possible consequences.

Like you, I think what if someone dies because the person who should have been there wasn't?

What if someone loses their job coz they've had a run if bad luck lately and they're on a final warning and being late or not turning up due to having their car stolen is also their p45?

What if someone was going to see a dying friend or relative and missed saying goodbye coz they couldn't get there in time?

And these are the kinds of thoughts that make me sad every day, make me ashamed to be human, and I do try to ponder how bad things must be for someone to steal a car knowing full well there are consequences.

As for the retail theft, as most of you know I'm a waitress and yes, there have been times when people have left without paying, and times when I've had to pay the bill. If it's been an obvious scam then the company takes the hit, and guess what? Loss of profit, loss of hours. But if it could be seen as my fault as in I was unavailable when the customer needed to pay... that's on me.

No they don't consider the effects that it's going to have on their victims, which is why I firmly believe that some Middle Eastern justice is what we can do with over here. Off with the hands of thieves and we would soon see a reduction in crime.

There are 2 groups of thief's.

The first lot are those hooked on crack. and all that shit, it's a means to needs and I blame the drug suppliers and those that live off their backs.

The second lot of crooks are lazy, inbred greedy bastards that never done an honest days work and want something you worked hard for. They are nasty inbreds greed ones
