PTSD can often be treated just through CBT, ie talk therapy via a councillor.

It also helps to talk to friends, about the things that upset you.

Everyone has some sort of mental health problem, so you are certainly not on your own. Although how common it isn't doesn't defer the fact that yours isn't important.

Talk to people, professionals, someone who will listen and not judge.

Me and my husband have both had ptsd for over 8 years from separate events. It's actually what brought us together, (cheesy I know - but true).

Professional help isn't for everyone, people find other ways to cope and know their limits. It's about learning and figuring out what is right for yourself.

Why is it hard to be on a site like this with MH problems? Or what are you hoping to achieve from being on here?

Everything that is said to me over the Internet I take with a pinch of salt. The good and the bad. Don't let what is said or done over this make you feel worse (I know easier said than done)

Have you tried clubs?

I suffer with some things. Things that help me counsel many others.

But I’ve experienced trauma for sure.

From mild, oh that’s interesting how that’s burnt into my memory, ie remembering a guys name that died that I never knew but I had to pick him up from another base in the helicopter to servers after my partner being my murdered and I never got to see her as she was so disfigured from the attack and I never got to say goodbye or anything.

I think for PTSD professional help is the way to go.

Not something that could be dealt with on a public forum, or PM's

I have just been diagnosed with PTSD along with my depression and anxiety that come from gender dysphoria and finding the waiting lists to speak to any counseling services are horrendous.

Reading

Look into EFT. It's used at Walter Reed with the soldiers experiencing severe ptsd.
