Deliberate misinformation, fake news, is lying and is not part of a discussion based on truth and facts. We can only discuss based on the information we have, whether it be truth or lies. As you've said, people take opinions as facts now, especially when a celebrity they admire opens their mouth about it. They aren't open to discussing it.
