There is only one bear that has my heart, he has been with me through thick and thin for over 35 years and that's my Joey.

I mean the cat hates him but he is never far away!

Pooh of course, he’s just lovely and funny for a bear of very little brain plus he has such wonderful friends, who doesn’t love Piglet or Eeyore

The Pooh stories are a different level of writing altogether to the Paddington books. Real pathos in them.

I imagine the Paddington films (which are good) have elevated the little Peruvian for now, but I hope that Pooh will be rediscovered for many generations to come.

Is anyone actually going to express a preference as the OP asked? Yes you're all very funny and clever, but tut tut. Frankly.

Paddington all day long, he's more assertive and has a better outfit.

Admittedly he is a bit strange looking. My mamgu and tadcu used to buy the annual every Christmas. Even have a teddy bear too.

Course they're not

You were pretty masterful in the moment.

Do you think that Pooh and Donald Duck share similar lack of inhibition in terms of no trews in public ?

Bugs, Daffy, pretty much all of the Mr Men, I've never been quite sure what Dangermouse's belt was holding up, not a pair of strides between 'em.

Liverpool

This is one of the thorniest conundrums to appear on the forum in a while. So tricky.

I lean more towards Paddington with his Latin American roots and love of marmalade.

However, Pooh has the richer supporting cast: Tigger, Eeyore et al.

Genuinely torn. Head's fell off.

Pooh wears no clothes in most illustrated versions. I believe it was prudish Disney who gave him the red top.

Yeah, Mr Brown was a straight out of a Larkin poem. I give you supporting cast. Eeyore is a tiresome cunt, but at least he was interesting.
