So here goes filters on photos, should there be a button on fab that says this photo contains filters?

Now I'm no oil painting, I had a tough paper round (square wheels and lots of hills). I'm sick of meets when you arrive and it's a hang on a bloody minute your not that person from the pictures........

Yes though fab and yes on other platforms

Though fab need to be done on pc and overlay the filter on top not shour meny would use it as it’s quite overly complicated but plethora off YouTube videos out there showing how to if you can fallow and understand step by step gudes then shouldn’t be a problem

Off fab platform click off a button like snap chat filters and stuff

You get to recognise certain filters as they make faces look very similar and eyes glassy or sparkly.

This thread exemplifies why I don't trust photos any further than I could fly them as paper aeroplanes. A verification of mine on here is from a pal who is a photographer, and he can make a cocker spaniel look seductive. In the flesh, so to speak, is the only way to see the real person.

Not as far as I know of on most apps...there aren't any cam filters...I'm not sure about SC though, think that def has filters...

I don't get why peeps heavily photo shop their pics...so much so that they're unrecognisable

I do use the in-built phone white balance feature from time to time...but that's it.

Most of my uploaded pics were actually taken live on Kik so no filters. Yea I know I've my profile hidden at min...just to get through mail or whatever. Tired of a jammed mail box tbh of 1-liners & creeps & freaks & fakes. Also the peeps who have heavily filtered photos...ye are actually Cat-Fishing #Fake

Aren't most of the filters obvious???

There's nothing wrong with filters, most people use them. It's the altering of your body and face completely that's the problem.. I don't think anyone would expect me to turn up with monochrome skin.

It’s fine to use filters, as long as you aren’t changing the shape or look of your face/body. Those are immediately obvious.

I use them sometimes to make a picture look nicer *shrug, but I’m not changing anything about myself.

We use filters but usually to adjust lighting etc. you won’t find us making sweeping changes to our physicality.

WhT you will find is 99% of photos taken by mobile phones have a distorted reality to them. Most camera photos that are not taken in beautiful lighting conditions make the person look worse. Harsh shadows, blown out light. Every person with light skin will immediately look like they have red coursing through the top of their skin. Every person with darker skin may have seen the dreaded green tones coming through. This is not there in real life, it’s how the camera processes the colours with a digital sensor and a low cost one at that.

So yes, for Christ sake, start using filters lol. Most people look better in real life than their fab pics. Us? We probably look worse than ours but hey. Haha.

I do not understand why people do this!!!

I couldn’t think of anything worse than someone saying negativity that I look nothing like my pics. Surely it’s a massive confidence knock?

If people are meeting, be honest with the person your potentially meeting. All your doing is setting yourself up for a fall.

I’ve been on many socials and it’s crazy how people blatantly lie about their appearance.

Ffs just be you!!!!

We use filters on our pics but we never change us or our appearance. Our bodies/face don’t get touched.

Most people are going to post their best pics not their worst. What they think makes them more desirable/sexy.

We send enough pics to show exactly what we are like as we wouldn’t want any disappointments when meeting.

There have been some we’ve not recognised from their pics at socials/clubs.

You could say that about lighting aswell, I take my photos in my bedroom mainly and have to use a ring light because my light is yellowish. It makes my skin look a lot smoother/blurred than it actually is. I have a face full of freckles but can barely see them because of the ring light. And that's without a filter. Lots of ways to get around it I think

Trades descriptions… colour changing is harmless.. filtering your face and shape to a point of being unrecognisable as anything other than a Disney character… ridiculous.

Every single camera on every single phone has its own way of processing colour and thus, every camera brings out different values. This, is inherently, what a filter does.

Most straight off the camera photos don’t flatter most people. Because most people look better than their badly lit and low res images look.

Use filters all you want. We do. But NEVER to change our appearance physically.

I use colour filters and crop pics and sometimes blur the edges. I never change how I look or my shape I don't see the point of doing that .

Most of the ones you see who have changed their shape or faces it's easy enough to spot anyhow .

It's normally the person's personality I've gone for so pics are only secondary.

Let's face it - if she still wants to meet me, after seeing my face then it's groovy.
