Is it just my car or is SatNav a bit unreliable along the periphery of the U.K.?

I think you need to be a bit more specific...

Ours seems to like single track roads

They aren't always that reliable. They don't always show where junctions are for starters which can be dangerous.

Probably with car satnavs is they not updated if it’s a 2015 car there’s ever chance your maps are 2015 maps any changes to roads form then will not change on the satnav

Mine once took me down a sort of slip road in Wallasey onto the side of the m53 where two traffic police patronised me but let me turn around and leave.

Oh is it the crap one that you have to pay to update that they put in cars?

My dad used his once and hasn't touched it since.

Buy a TomTom much better and free updates.

I have a 2018 car. Sat nav updated when purchased. December 2020. I find that if like today . Told to turn right . Then need the next left which is approx fifty yards once turned right. I do not get voice instruction etc . Map yes shows left turn but no distance . Yes missed left turn.

Hgv and car built in satnavs are shut and a waste of time. Never used one never will. I drive hgv all over the country and I use Google maps yes its for a car but gets me a few miles from where I wanna be and I use the road signs to guide myself in. Google maps is live and always up to date on traffic accidents can't beat it
